I understand the genny has a fuel pump and I understand about the 1/4 tank rule. what I don't know is how the manufacturers make the connection from the genny fuel line to the engine fuel tank at the time of build. I'm hoping someone has the knowledge of either building this out or replacing the fuel pump in the tank which I think has the extra port to connect the fuel line from the genny.. however, with that said, what would be in place to drop down from that port to the inside of the tank to allow the gas to be pulled up and ensure the 1/4 tank "rule" This alone makes me think there is a specific engine fuel pump made for these RV's.

If it is a motor home chassis there is a pickup tube built into the tank. If it is not an original motor home chassis you need to change the tank. It comes directly from FORD with the pick-up tube. It is not added by the motorhome manufacturer.
Right from FORD's SPECS for a motorhome chassis options.
