furnace - progress but not fixed

Now with video!!!

https://youtu.be/NZv13KVWUf4

Two weeks ago, it fired up around 2am, had a funny smell. Then went off. Next morning, blower would run but no spark. Then blower off after 15 seconds and blinking LED once per second - meaning air flow/high limit.

Checked ducts for kinks and obstructions.
Used shopvac to blow air *into* the ducts and try to clear any obstructions.

Now, as you can see/hear in the video - blower starts and ignititor sparks - we get about 1 second of flame, then flame out.

Nothing in the exhaust tube looks like a mud dauber. I did hook up shop vac to exhaust tube and *suck* to see if there was anything in there. No help.

Doesn't look like an easy access from the rear.
I'm hoping I don't have to pull the #$#@@! out.

This is season 2 for the furnace, worked fine before.
Ideas?

thanks!

After checking the lines for damage, pinching, etc. try blowing out the tube the pilot works from. Use computer air blast in gentle puffs.

The first puff blew out and cloud of white dust. I then used a toothbrush to polish the end of the tube and the pilot light sensor. Blew it out again.

Got a stable, much larger pilot light flame and no further problems. Left the computer air blast in my tool bucket. Also, serviced the fridge the same way .

hope this helps!

Check for proper gas flow. Could be an oil p-trap in copper line to furnace that is interfering with flow. Might have a "works OK when OAT warm" but "does not work when OAT cold" due to viscosity etc etc....

Sounds like the flame isn't being "sensed". Perhaps the flame is inadequate, the sensor is bad, or the furnace circuit board is bad.

The thermocouple may have moved.
The "eye" may be dirty.
I'm assuming with an electronic igniter there is no pilot light?
