My 2021 30z gets about 9.1MPG, not towing. That's overall driving up and down the East coast.

Put it 9500 miles on my 2020 26XD Ford E450 Triton v10 last year. Used 1345 gallons of gas. That comes out to 7.1 mpg. That's fully loaded with around 1/2 A tank of water, no tow. This was pretty much US highway driving with limited interstate use.

Salesmen lie to make a sale. I have a 2013 Jayco Greyhawk 31SS, purchased new. 17,957 miles since new. Total fuel consumption since new 2,192.26 gallons. MPG since new 8.19 mpg. Range by tank has varied from a low of 6.79 mpg and high of 10.64 mpg. Some of that variation could be explained by over filling and or under filling any individual refill. But is more likely caused by driving conditions, wind, speed, and hills. 16,161 of miles reported are towing a 2,300 car, the other 1,795 not towing. Driving habits are conservative. Try to keep speed around 55 on the highway and enjoy the trip. If I wanted to road warrior I would leave the RV home and drive a car. I will say that mpg has improved slightly as the rig was broken in. If I looked at the last 5,000 alone, mpg was 8.68.

I have a 2012 31' Greyhawk 31SS. I have put 18,821 miles on it in the 10 years I have owned it. During that time I put 2,287.7 gallons of gas in the tank, that's an average of 8.23 mpg. Most of that towing a small car, under 2,500#. All of that in the Pacific Northwest where hills are common. I am not a road warrior and try to keep speeds around 55 mpg where I can.

I always reset mine at the top of a hill, then show my wife the read out when we level out. She is very impressed with our new truck!

Our ScanGauge reads 99.9 MPG when going downhill with a tail wind. So that makes up for when it reads 5.5 MPG going up the same hill.

When I read the one post that said their Ford V10 got over 10 MPG, I darn near spit out my coffee on the screen. Best I see on an OBD-II device to read instant fuel mileage was near 7 MPG. I only see better when it's parked and not running.

68000 miles on my 2016. Fuel average is 7.4, towing 4000 lb. toad. I avoid interstates and do a lot of state and US Highways thru towns, with more stop and goes. I suppose the mileage would be a little better if I stayed on the interstates. We like to see all the local towns and things. I use the tow haul all the time, allowing the engine to slow the rig down. Still have a lot of brake pad left too.

We have a 28' Jayco Redhawk with a Ford V-10 E450, we flat tow a Chevy Spark and average between 8-8.5 mpg. Without the toad, mileage only improves by .2 a gal. Happy Motoring, God Bless
