Well I got bad info. All of you who have BMPro can prime your gen by touch screen or phone app buy holding down the stop button. There is no light so you must have quiet. About 3 seconds after holding the stop button you can hear the pump run. I took my phone and put it on video at the gen start box. Went inside hit stop heard a noise. Went and looked at the video and yup the prime light lite up.

I Could not figure out this manual priming thing, however the genny always starts by holding the gen start button on the panel. I have never done this stop button technique to prime. When pushing the start button it does nothing for 2-3 seconds before the starter kicks in. Ours runs on propane, so could it be somewhat different from gas models?

Ya my old FBTS had switches and holding the stop button down a few seconds it would prime and red light would come on. Even starting monthly the fuel evaps out of the carb. Just curious about your propane unit. If you go to your Gen and push and hold down the stop rocket switch does a red light come on and you hear a noise? You would not think propane would need priming. But then again it takes a while sometimes to light your fridge or stove. Mine also pushing the start button takes several seconds before it cranks. I am pretty sure 2017-18 the FWs all went to propane.

Sorry, I may have used the wrong terminology. Our Unit has the Jaycommand module and I think the stop genny icon/button is grayed out with unit off, but not sure and need to walk out there and confirm. It typically starts right away after a few seconds with no issues.

Being that the priming action pumps gasoline into the carburetor, I doubt you can prime or even need to prime a propane fueled generator. ~CA

What I mean by propane gen priming the system might put out a shot of propane to get the air out of the line. How many times people have to run the stove to get the fridge to lite. Gotta get the air out and fridge does not use a bunch. Probable propane gen would not need that since it sucks propane like our heater.

I will confess I had never heard of priming the genny to start it until joining this forum.
We have an electric home fridge unit but I do fall back on the stove stop to get the gas going after switching tanks.

78 hours on a generator that is nearly 10 years old is very very low hours. Our 2013 Greyhawk just clicked over 300 hours, almost 80 I did this past year. Our Onan 4000QG had some running / starting issues this past year. Clocked carb was the issue. 8 oz per gallon of gas, disconnect the fuel line, and prime this mixture into the gen with a spare fuel line take the mixture into the carb and bowl. Let it sit for a few hours. Try starting the gen. Do this two or three times. If this doesn't solve the issue then perhaps you have a bad fuel pump but with less than 100 hours of run time that doesn't say much for Cummings. I've also found 20 to 30 seconds of priming is required if the gen sits longer than 2 or 3 days and winter starting is a bit harder than summer starting.

I have a "22 29 MV , my generator only had 69 hours on it and the fuel pump crapped out , tore into it yesterday while cussing out the engineer who designed the location where the fp sits , I honestly think heat from gen contributed to the demise of the pump , I am seriously thinking on mounting the new pump on the frame , and if it dies again it's much easier to replace

IIRC there's a TSB about relocating and wrapping the line (and maybe the pump) because of heat issues.

That’s for vapor lock partial fix. My FW had the pump above the fuel tank next to the gen and it was in a separate compartment. So way cooler and no problems. Frame rail might be a good plan
