Fresh gas is cheap.... engine repairs and carbs are not.

So, are you suggesting I just pump out all 55 gallons out of my tank in the Spring and discard it?

Boy I sure hope not gas is not that cheap 55 gallons of gas. Wonder where you would dispose of so much fuel and how would you get to a gas station after you empty it?

55 gallons is a lot of gas. This drives home when I fill the tank, and when I treat a tank with Seafoam. 1oz / gallon is for maintenance. The rig I’m pretty sure I’m buying tomorrow sat for a year - so I’m putting in 1 bottle less needed to get to 2 oz/gallon. 6 cans.

At least after this runs through the engine and the genny I shouldn’t have to do that again. Startron cocentrated from there on out.

So, what are you buying?

I went overboard when I treated my tank in the Fall too, I figured a little bit more wouldn't hurt, and it's better to be safe then sorry.

That 29MV if everything checks out. 2019 so its a leftover. I ran the MSRP vs offer and came in at 36% and change off. Plus I’ve done business with them in the past and they have been good to me.

That's neat. Which dealer?

I bought mine from White Horse. When I went in to negotiate final price, I brought in a bunch of print-outs from RvTrader.com, to help with leverage, as I would have flown to a different state to save thousands. They ended up giving me a bigger discount.

I see one on their web site, does it have your name written on it???????

Yes and that’d be it. Fingers crossed they PDI’d it correctly. I’ll find out tomorrow AM.

Good Luck!! They didn't spend a lot of time on my PDI, and I had to fix some stuff. Actually, it was exactly this time last year when I picked up my rig.

Make sure they give you the gift card for accessories and the one time discount on purchasing accessories.

Also, squeeze them for as many freebie accessories that you can get!

Sure, but the common complaint I hear is the carb gets gummed up and makes the genny run poorly. So my thought is if you treat your gas AND drain the carb - you should be pretty much go to go?

IMO, that's about as good as it would get for me.

No way I'm going to stop treating my fuel, I just can't see letting the fuel sit untreated even if it's NOT in the generator. And there are times (like now) when I don't see my rig for 2 months at a time.

In fact, I drove by yesterday and waved at it from 300 yards away... I miss my camper...

Yep, I agree with that. I believe, as long as the small passages in the carb are clean and dry, by running it out of fuel, running treated gas back in when you want to start the genny probably won't be an issue. In most cases, we're talking about a few months of non use, not years.

This all sounds like a Kobayashi Maru scenario (no win).

Drain the bowel - filter & pump still full of gas.

Install fuel shut off - line from tank to generator still full of old gas.

Treat the gas - might be good as it would also treat the motor home engine.

Aviation gas - no way. Too expensive and they may not even sell it to you (had that problem years ago when using that high octane gas in a boat).

Go camping every month and just use the generator - I'm for that.

Just exercise the generator every month for an hour or two if you won't be camping for awhile. That is what I currently do. I can sit in the rig and pretend I am out somewhere.

Yep. Took the RV out of the storage unit, drove it home, started up the genny and let it run with AC on while puttering.

Is it ok while you are running generator to charge up house battery to also use a separate battery charger plugged into inside 120 volt outlet to help charge up the same battery ?
