GenSet Oil Change

I have the QD 8000 in my unit and doing the initial 50hr oil change. The recommended filter is bigger than what came from the factory. Is this normal?! Or did I get the wrong filter?

Not neccessarily the wrong one. There are two different sizes available. I bought my first couple oil supplies from cummins and the parts clerk warned me it might be different size from what was on the unit from the factory.
