Grey Hawk Prestige 30XP

Hello
I'm looking to purchase a 2019 grey hawk prestige 30XP and was wondering what you current 30 XP owners are seeing fuel mileage wise? Is the V-10 a gas hog? If you drive 65 mph, not 70-75 does this speed allow for better mileage? What are some of the Pro's and Con's owning this class c. I'm a previous fifth wheel guy and looking to go class C with possible tow behind if needed for extended vacations.

thanks
Mike

There was a huge thread already on typical class C mileage. Basically, dont worry about it.. 7 to 9 mpg based on many factors.

I'd get 9 mpg if I tracked it on the way down as I drove it off the side of a mountain.

Nice, I guess that would get better mileage and terminate your payment plan! LOL

Too funny, but accurate. I have 2018 29 MV. The 6 speed trans helps some but i get 6.4 mph in the mountains and between 7.5 and 8.3 on the flats depending on winds.

Gas mileage depends on many factors including the use of cruise control and cruising speed. We have owned three Jaycos a 1999 Granite Ridge, a 2006 Granite Ridge, and now a 2018 29 MVP. The mileage has improved over the years most recently with the addition of the 6th gear. I don't use cruise control in the hills and typically travel at 60-65 mph. I set the cruise control at 62 when I use it. On our trip to Wyoming last summer we averaged something like 9.26 mpg over a 5000 mile trip. No tow vehicle and the unit was loaded to near max weight. Our 2006 averaged around 8.5 over the exact same route.
