Greyhawk 30x Hydraulic leak

I have noticed that have an occasional leak of hydraulic fluid from the leveler pump. I do not feel any fluid around the fittings but I see fluid on the bottom side of the tank. I also noticed the cap seems to have some fluid around it.

Has anyone had a leak from the cap? Does that sound likely?

Thanks

It shouldn’t leak from the cap unless the tank has been overfilled. Is the tank clear plastic so you can see the fill level or do you have to use a dipstick? Wipe it down so the next time you check it will be easier to see where it is coming from.

+1

If you fill the tank while the jacks are extended, you're going to overfill it. You need to fill the tank with all jacks retracted.

Sounds like your tank is just overfilled a little.

I have a 2019 Redhawk 31XL and the hydraulic pump did have a leak. Of course it was out of warranty. The bottom of the motor kept getting wet with oil. I found a person close to me that would check it. I removed the unit myself. If you do this make sure you mark the wires (5) and hoses (5) so they go back on the correct places. We at first thought the seal between the motor and pump was leaking, but it was an o ring that had not been installed properly from the factory. I would expect Jayco buys these pumps already assembled (from China). The cost to repair was $250.00. If I was to take it to an RV dealer I am sure I would have got a bill for $1000.00. If this is the problem get if repaired right away, if oil gets in the motor it will be expensive to repair.
