Greyhawk 30X looking into a Slide Cover ...

Freinds of ours have a Greyhawk 30X. This unit has one very large slideout on the driver's side. When they approached Dixie RV for a Slide Topper, they were told the very long Slide Topper would be "TOO BIG AND HEAVY" for the slideout to handle...

Anyone out there with an experience in this situation....???

slide cover

The 2018 Greyhawk 30 XP comes with a full length roll-out slide cover. Not sure if thats what your looking for. But Your friend may want to see if that would fit.

We have a 17 30x and we were at the factory couple weeks ago. They are on the 2018 30x. Checked with dealer and was quoted right at $1300 installed. Awning would be a part from Jayco so you can only go thru dealer. Looks like it was engineered for a long slide with longer brackets and a support in the middle. Looked good. Haven't pulled the trigger yet

2018 30x slide topper

We purchased last August and the dealer installed a topper on the slide. No issues. I think it was $1,200 or so.

We just bought a 2018 Greyhawk 30x and it came with the full wall topper. Also anyone ever have trouble with the slide ? They say you can manually run it in after you disconnect the motor brake but I cannot find away to get to the shaft to run it in manually. Anyone have an idea, short of cutting a hole in floor slide under bed?
