Greyhawk 31fs front slide power

I have a problem with my front slide retracting after camping. We are plugged into 30amp service the whole time but when I hit the retract button, no movement or noise. I start the e450 engine and wait 20 minutes or so , it retracts as it should. I tried switching the rocker switch with with the back slide, but it still didn't work.

I am thinking it's the controller or a bad house battery. However, I just replaced the house battery this spring.

Suggestions??

Thanks for your replies.

Do you stay connected to shore power when the engine is running?

Even though you replaced the battery, they do go bad and it might be one that sat on the shelf a long time. Take a voltmeter and measure the voltage and see if it's acceptable. I think 12.6 or below is getting weak. Make sure your battery isn't running down. Check the mirror heat switch make sure it's not on. Some of the relays and controller are under the bed screwed to the inside near the fuse panel near the top.

Any chance it uses an Auto resetting fuse, that is why it works after letting it rest?

The front slide in our 31FS would sometimes blow a 30 amp blade fuse. The dealer and I were not able to find why it was blowing a fuse. It didn't happen all the time. Sometimes it would happen when the slide was out, sometimes when it was in. It would never happen while it was being extended or retracted.

Never had a problem with the bedroom slide, just the front slide.

It does have an auto reset fuse on the controller board.

Yesterday, I unplugged the controller board and plugged it back in. Since I did that, it has been working so far. I will give it more time before I declare success.

Thanks for the replies.
