plexiglass. Go to a glass shop. not an RV dealer.

After my trailer was broken into while in offsite storage I now just leave the door unlocked. I don't keep anything of value in it, so I figure that anything stolen out of it will be far less costly than potential repairs to doors and windows.

I'm with^^^^, leave nothing of value to steal.
I've been hit twice, twi different tts and two different places.
First time the tried to pry door with standard 3' crowbar, unsuccessful!, then smashed door window, unlock enter. Second time they just smashed door window, unlock, enter.
One was in a secured fenced area, the other in an open area.
So, there gonna get your stuff one way or the other!!!!

We definitely do not leave anything of value in the RV, which is stored at a fenced lot with video surveillance (no deterrent there I guess). Before entering through the window, all of the storage bays were pried open. Two cheap wrenches we had left were taken. Then they attempted to pry the door open, which will be replaced due to extensive damage. Last option, go in through the window. Inside, they tried to pull the t.v. off the mounting bracket, but broke the t.v. instead. Left that. Rifled through all drawers and cabinets and only found a pocketknife. Kicker is, while breaking the window, somebody got badly cut. So drawer handles and door knobs had blood smears. For all their work they walked away with two cheap-o wrenches, a cheap-o pocketknife and a bloody hand. So worth it.
