I didn't use vin or Ford reference when looking up wheel
Just went to Amazon site, and ordered the wheel shown in
Jayco Forum
As far as a under frame mount , it will be east on a 31DS
to put a winch and frame between the frame rails.
Just waiting on a wheel to finish job.
Go to search bar, lots of ideas on how to Mount
It may be little harder on a 26 ft due to less over hang .

Can anyone definitely confirm with real time first hand experience which rim will work with the E450?

When we bought our MH, my wife insisted they supply a spare tire so the dealer got a brand new rim and tire for us. I then looked around and found Troy Engineered Components and Assemblies on the internet and ordered a winch from them and had a local fabricator mount it under the rig so I'm not using up the rear storage area.

If you give them a call, sometimes it can take a couple of days/tries to get a hold of someone so be persistent.

One thing to caution you on, I talked with the guy on the phone and thought they were going to wait for me to get back to them on a question and the next thing I knew, the winch was at my front door. They actually billed me for it instead of having me pay for it before they shipped it.

Ok I can definitely vouch that the rim at this link WILL NOT fit a E-450.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Still on the search for a rim that will fit. Anyone else find one?

Update: the part number for a 2017 E450 rim is 8C24-1015 GA
I found one on ebay. Should be here next week, stay tuned.

For a 2017 E-450, the one I got from eBay does fit and has the part number on the rim of 8C24-1015. The I got from Amazon with part number 8C2Z-1015 does not fit. I have a picture of the two side by side. The issue is the one from Amazon has the inner part of the rim too shallow and it hits/scrubs on the front wheel brake caliper.

Check out the pictures the one on the left is from Amazon. The one on the right is from eBay. I drew a line between the two showing the difference in the inner part of the rim indention.

Hope this helps.

I carry a mounted spare in my rear storage (3100SS) but I have it as far forward as I can get it, and still don’t like having to carry the extra weight. If I was doing it again I think I would forget the steel wheel and just carry the tire. Have never had to use it. It really should be mounted on the front bumper but that looks dorky.

I like the idea of putting the spare up underneath, however on the 2017 29MV the water tank is mounted up in there and barely leaves enough space for a spare tire to fit without hanging down and reducing the rear end ground clearance even more. Ideally I would love to have mounted it under there.
Here is my setup. I used the two items at the links below to mount the spare tire to the rear bumper. I wanted it this way so I could also have a place to strap down the poop tank to without having to put mounts on the back wall of the RV. This setup works well.

Well I finally finished this project which should have been simple. Got the curt receiver hitch like you and wheel off of Ebay. Next was there was no mounting hardware with the hitch- had to get (3) half inch x 1 inch grade 8 bolts and washers to mount to 2in spacers (see pic below) got the (2) 2in spacers Ebay $40. Using only 1 spacer I was only able to attach wheel from outer rim only and it worked but wheel stuck out kinda far. When using both spacers was able to attach on other side of rim (inner rim) and it was a perfect fit - tight up against back of RV. Got a wheel cover and it looks like it should. Just feel better with a balanced spare wheel - hope I will never need it. Now I can start next mod - Jack knife sofa out 2 recliners in.

Glad you got it all worked out. Let us know how the Sofa swap out for recliners goes. I have been thinking about the same mod myself.

good fit and it's not really much weight at hitch.. carrier and wheel are easily under 100lbs. Iam not very strong and it wasn't hard to pick up tire to mount.

Hello katiedog Spare rim
Got my rim from a use. Rv- dealer class-c. Numbers stamped on rim match the numbers from my 2016-jayco Greyhawk Mv. I had trouble locating one.Thought maybe I'd just order one from Ford dealer they wanted $ 450.00 . No-way. My price for this is 150.00. I we'll split shipping from 44001.
