Greyhawk Issues

Having the following issues on our new 2017 Greyhawk 31FS with just 8 trips completed, less then 5k miles. Has anyone else have had the same problems?

Left side break lights and turn singles failed.
Trim throughout the campers is falling, including the wood trim in the cab.
The camper door rattles while driving no matter what I do to tighten it up.
The hot water on demand door will not secure.
Screws missing from cabinet doors.
Screws to ALL outside storage doors have rusted.
Auto Leveler buttons continue to pop off.
The thermostat is set in Celsius and will not convert to Fahrenheit. We did notice a white wire that is not connected. Also during our first trip, the thermostat fell off the wall.
The microwave's finish is pealing off.

Thank you
Pete and Dena

I have a 2017 29MV with about the same amount of trips and miles on it.
The only item on your list that I am experiencing is the rusted screws on the hing stops on the outside storage bin doors. I planned on replacing those with Stainless Steel screws before they rust to much more and not able to replace without stripping. Agreed they should have used SST screws in the first place but oh well.
Other than that I have been very please with our purchase. I have read a lot of other post from others that have not been so lucky. I count my blessings.

Of those, the only one shared is wood trim coming off. Since I have to tools to attach it, it wasn't a big deal to me. Brake lights and turn signals are fine

I have a Grayhawk 31DS and the only issue we have is the door rattles and of course the on demand water heater.

I have the same rig as yours, but have made only 3 trips. If your talking about the screws that go all around the inside frame of the storage units, mine has a dab of clear silicone over the screw head area. Maybe they missed that on yours. I'm lucky I haven't experienced all the issues you have but we'll see. Thanks for the heads up and I hope you get it all resolved. If you could post some pictures that always helps.

We tow a Jeep Wrangler, PLENTY of power ! Tows fine .

Here is a copy of my issues from a year ago.

First trip in our brand new 2016 GH 31FS.
Here is the list of BS I have had to deal with:
Front end alignment
Helwig spring adjustment
Had to adjust Water pump shut off
Built in GPS and cameras are worthless
Transmission sometimes doesn't shift out of fourth gear after going up hills
Leaking hydraulic line on stabilizer
Door stop came unscrewed twice
Drivers side mirror won't work side to side
Tankless water heater is temperamental, works only sometimes on bath sink
Shower drain came unattached and flooded bath and hallway
Drip hose on fridge overflowed and got circuit board wet on furnace. It doesn't work now. Reran drip hose through vent.

And the list goes on and on.
Had to replace bathroom door knob
Awning bounces going in and out
Replaced the lousy queen mattress
I may have a leak in the front cap
Had to tear apart bathroom to readjust support underneath shower pan

We are trading in our 2013 31fs for a Hummingbird. From your list, we have also had these problems:

1) Trim throughout is coming off. Dealer has fixed it a few times, but it continues to fall off.

2) Camper door rattling. Constantly. Also the passenger side window screen has come loose and only quietens down when some kleenex is inserted between the screen and the window frame.

3) We continually find screws that have fallen inside.

4) All exterior screws are rusting. They should just use stainless when putting it together.

Otherwise it has been a pleasure travelling in the unit the last few years.

2016 GH 29MV 17,000 MILES

The screw that clamps the sewer support bracket snapped. I temp fixed it with plastic ties.

The Kwikee step gears stripped, Replaced under warranty.

That's it. Great coach!

PS. No rusted screws as coach has full body paint.

Ooops - I forgot about all of the burned out LED lamps. Jayco sent me six freebies which I installed.

My 2017 has the Jensen GPS and I totally agree is more trouble than it's worth. The touchscreen is not sensitive enough. The interface sucks etc. I did have the door stop break but fixed it myself. Yes the queen mattress is a joke, but my wife sleeps on it ok for the time being. I want to track down that refrigerator drain you mention. Where do you think the front cap is leaking? Take a close look at those marker lights(which are junk also). I redid the shower support right off the bat cause I knew it would be trouble if I didn't. Another annoyance is the area beneath the skylight has a lot of bits of styrofoam all over it.

On outside fridge access they had the condensation drain tube running into a small tray. It eventually overflowed and dripped onto the furnace motherboard. 80+ degrees and the furnace starts running, only way to get it to shut off was to pull the fuse. Anyways, I rerouted the tube through the outside cover. Problem solved.
I found some slight bubbling of the fiberglass on the bottom side of cap near the seam. Going to keep a close eye on it.
Then the other day I happened to look underneath and noticed the tank heater pads were hanging half off on both the black and grey tanks. Got a can of spray adhesive and glued them back on. Hope nothing else comes up. Leaving for Yellowstone this weekend.

Thanks for those details Jeff. My former Jayco had the heater pads and they we're always coming off too. Seems like a widespread problem. Maybe they need a new adhesive. Check those marker lights. it can be leaking there and running to the bottom and building up water at the seam.
