Is the flame lit and burning as seen from the outside?

If your propane tank has been turned off for a while, I always start the stove first to clear the gas line of air. Then try starting the fridge, works every time for me.

Turn it off and back on several times until it lights. May take several tries. Once it lights you should be able to hear it and like Seneca said see the flame when looking through the outside vent cover.

When the motorhome has been sitting unused and you just switch it to gas and it doesn't light it may not keep trying after a few times and never light. I always wait and listen and then verify by going outside and looking for the flame. If no go then I turn off the frig and try again until it lights.

I only had an issue 2 times:
1. Propane line was not purged enough for gas to get there.
2. The unit was not level enough. Must be less than 3 degrees side to side, 6 degrees front to back (looking at the fridge door).
