Angry Greyhawk theatre seat recliners

In our 2021 Greyhawk 29MV our theatre seat recliners are very comfortable to sit on. However, after pushing into a reclining position, they immediately revert back to sitting position when I relax. Does this happen to anyone else?

(Our dealer says they are working as designed!)

Thanks to all!!

No, that makes no sense if they revert back without extra effort. Ours takes an extra push with your legs to get them to close. I can lay down sideways on them and they stay open.

I have a 2022 Entegra and the theater do the same thing. We dislike them and are looking at replacement options.

UPDATE: This is the response I received from Jayco Customer Service:
__________________________

"The manufacture of the seats are Lippert components and the recliners do not have a retention on the seat so if pressure in the reclined position is decreased the chair will revert back to a seated position. So the recliners are working as designed.
Thank you,

Erish Edmisten
Customer Service Supervisor"

Guess I'll take some time to question Lippert components. Probably another dead end as far as being a satisfied customer, but at least they'll know my point of view.

Thanks!!

Same here, 2022 Entegra. In fact that extra push is sometimes annoying.

We are looking at installing theater seating in our Jayco Greyhawk. Received this link from RvOne dealer in Ocala Fl. Said it was a very reputable company.

I have the Stacey Stewart theater seats and I find it difficult sometimes to get them to go back to the the upright position.

Replaced original sofa with trifold sofa, didn't like that one, so installed Recpro Charles 58” powered double rv wall hugger recliner sofa loveseat in cloth. Very comfortable loveseats and can install 4" from the wall. They accomplish an almost flat recline by sliding forward as they recline. On the 29MV slide, they require the addition of a plywood platform to extend the slide a bit. Expensive, but well worth it. Total cost of sofa and install came to around $2200.

Like these types of seats when going to a movie...if I don't like the movie, I can sleep!

I had the same experience with my 29mv. I replaced the recliners with these:

Perfect fit and very comfortable.
