Greyhawk Water tank too small...

Have a 2015 Greyhawk 29mv...
Our old class A had massive fresh water capacity.
Well our C is only 33 gallons...
we boondock a lot, sure I can country fill from a five gallon can, doing that now for two years...Country fill siphons water back into your fresh tank btw.
Well a neighbor camping next to me said the previous owner of his 2004 Greyhawk had a 100 gallon fresh water tank installed..
Wow that is huge, and maybe too heavy also ?
I wonder if a 50-60 gallon tank could be installed down there, a tank guage in it also would be important...
Or just continue hand trucking 5 gallons at a time...

I, too, read about the tank capacities in the motorhomes built on a truck or bus chassis and wish. But our 31FK could not handle the extra weight. Heck, I am pretty close to max gross now.

Hey Steve, I'm guessing you're stuck with that small tank. Like Roamer said, these things are pushing the weight limit already. My first Jayco C was a 25' and after loaded for camping I still had 2000 pounds to go to reach the limit. Not so my current rig. I'm too close to maxed out to consider a larger tank. AND, with that extra battery and knowing how you load your rig, I'm guessing you could already be overweight.

We're a family of five and the smaller tank is really difficult. Our first coach was lighter and smaller and had a 55 gallon tank. Much nicer. We're just toting additional water jugs. We usually tote themp empty and then fill up when we're at or near our destination.

The 7 gallon carboys are $12-15 at Walmart and we've got two.

Yep, Country Fill is a bit of a pain, especially on our unit where the pump doesn't have enough oooomph to fill unless we flip the inlet screen.

I did grab a Harbor Freight 12V pump and it's on my Summer To Do List to see if that's got more push. If so, I'll rig something up in the back so that can be my Quick Country Fill option.

I've never understood why my 23RB came with 80 gallons of fresh water storage and as we look at huge 5th wheels they range around the 65ish capacity. Makes no sense to me. I can attest to the awesomeness of the Aquatank2, we have the 60 gallon and love it.

My greyhawk 31SS is about max when loaded, remember water is 8.34 lbs per gallon adds up fast

Buy a flat bed trailer and put a 250 Gal water tank on it.

I'm assuming it's a sarcastic comment, I hope. Otherwise I'm thinking pulling 2000lbs of water including weight of trailer is going to be absurd.
