Gutter spouts

About to put gutter spouts on my Greyhawk. Any advice??

The gutter spouts are a little thick so when you install them, be sure to have some Dicor to push behind the drip rail. And have some Butyl tape to make a smooth transition to the drip rail and the side wall. Other than that, work slowly, especially when you are pulling up the drip rail to get the spout behind it.

Mine work great with no dripping and no black streaks on the side or the cab.

I have a 2017 jayflight and some how my right front spout is missing. It appears they are just sealed into place. There is a space on end behind gutter for the spout to slip in and just seal around it. No screws or other attachment. Does this seem right?

I have not installed mine yet because my gutter is sealed very good all the way to the end.

I will only say my biggest regret is not installing them sooner.

Yes, most are adhered into place and not screwed.

twp723 - thanks for confirming. Looks like just using a good black silicone sealant would work. Thoughts?

On one side I was able to remove the screw and so have it screwed in and then caulked around it. Could not get the screw out on the other side so I trimmed and slipped it in place and then caulked. Both have held for 5-6 trips so far and do a great job keeping the streaks away.

I trimmed it to fit in and around the existing rail and then used RV caulk to seal the top and sides in place. Mine came out about an inch on the opposite side of the slop and was open so I caulked a "wall" there to make sure any water was directed down the spout. Certainly wouldn't hurt to put the sealant behind to provide adhesion.


When you look at the end of the rail, when whatever sealant is there is removed to fit the spout, mine had an opening in the rail itself. That's why I trimmed it to slide in there to help hold it in place. May be a better way to do it, but it worked for me. I bought them when I first purchased the RV but was unsure how to mount, so I kept putting it off. When the streaks started to discolor the decals, I said enough was enough and finally put them up. That's why I said I wished I had them up sooner. It's my first RV, so I can claim ignorance .
