has anyone replaced their microwave yet?

Ours is still working but it's developed a horrific squeak. Best we can tell the wall bracket has come loose.

I've replaced a half-dozen residential 'waves at home so I know I need to loosen the bolts holding it on the top then tilt it down and lift if off the wall bracket.

Thing is they covered the top with a false bottom in the cabinet above the microwave and I don't see a way to pull that bottom without destroying it.

If I have to trash the false bottom, that's OK. I can fashion a replacement. I was just wondering if I'm missing something? You'd have guessed Jayco would have made microwave replacement a bit easier, a bit less destructive?

I want to pull it down and tighten the bracket on the wall, then reinstall it.
Thank you!!

My original microwave burned out less than a yr in. Had CW replace it with a lowes store bought one and they apparently did a horrible job because the entire thing came down 2 trips after. That rattle you mention is a total sign that it's about to come unhinged. This happened to us last week on I95. The dw jumped into action. Luckily the cord got snagged and it stayed up. Could have been a disaster or even worse. Click image for larger version

You should be able to pull the panel out without too much damage it's only stapled in place. Use a small screw driver and needle nose pliers to pull the staples. Been there done that.

I plan on replacing it with a convection toaster oven and utilising all that space for a shelf and even a built in spice rack behind the empty space on the left

Thanks Grumpy - I had my head in there for 15 minutes and I'll be dogged if I could see any staples. I know it has to be able to come out, but it sure looks like it's glued.

I'll look again.

They may have putty over them or only in the corners

Bigger question for Studiovette is does the DW know you took a pic of her in action AND posted it?? Lol!
If not there might be more than just a microwave getting replaced!!

LMAO! She knows. She was not a happy camper to say the least with the pic or holding the microwave for 10 mins until I can safely pull over at a rest stop!

As seen in pictures the board is mounted to microwave and screws on front of board screw vertically into bottom of cabinet. That is how our 2014 37ts is hung.

But a GREYHAWK has a cabinet over the micro. Mounted totally different than the SENECA.
