I have a 2012 31FS, does anyone know how much current the heater system draws? Assuming it is not that much compared to the A/C. I am taking a trip to cold land and want to plug in at the in-laws place. Wondering what amp 110v could supply me and allow the heater to run without tripping. (a/c load was 110v 17-19 amps)
If no one knows offhand, I will run another test at home and see... I forgot to check the surge guard when testing the heater to see what I was drawing when it was on..
The furnace uses your 12v battery for power so the 110 draw is what ever your converter draws to charge your batteries. In cold weather without hookups it can really drain a single battery.
If I remember correctly, I think my heater running drew about 6 amps on the converter. Lights also pull a good amount....so I would have at least a 15 amp circuit and no micro or elec water heater to be safe.
Thanks, good info. I was not aware it was a 12v blower, but it makes sense. I think they will have a 110v 15amp. whih hopefully will work for me. Given the sound of the blower, I assumed it was 110v. I bet it would drain that one 12v coch battery pretty fast boondocking....
