heater question

cant find my book on the heater in my 2007 jayco seneca 35gs will my furnace run off my batteries we will be in a parking lot no hook up and i want the dogs to stay warm sorry still new to this so i rely on all the experts out there this site is so valuable to me thanks

If your batteries are fully charged they will power the heater for a while. How long depends on many variables.

I would not risk my pups for very long w/o heat.

in Tucson 50 degree nights will be run about 4 hrs one light on will set at 65degree

Turn on the auto start for the geny just to be safe. When the batteries get low the gen will start to recharge them and run the furnace.

Another strategy could be to buy a portable propane heater (like a Mr.Heater Buddy) to use along with the furnace and set the trailer thermostat to maybe, 60*. If the portable unit could not keep the temp above 60*, the trailer furnace would cycle on and off to keep it from getting too cold.

I have been Rving for 15 yrs 5 full time I soon found out if you boondocks the best heat is a catalictic. Heater

When it's in the 50s I put a blanket over my dog at night and it's a Rottweiler, she'll stay like that all night. How about sweaters for your dogs.
