Question Hello, New Motorhome Owner

Hi everyone. I traded in my travel trailer for a motorhome and beyond excited for our first trip. When we were introduced to our RV, all TVs were playing as we soaked in all the information that was being given, however, that evening, we took it for a drive, and completely forgot everything. We could not figure out how to turn on the TVs nor turn the audio on in the cabin. I have a 2022 Greyhawk 31F. Can anyone help?

I have an older model, so... You should have remotes for your TVs. My Furrion TV also has a small, "touch" on/off switch on the lower left. The location of the on/off is going to depend on the make and model of the TVs.

As for the interior sound, I disabled mine shortly after getting the coach. But if I recall correctly, I had an "Outside Speaker" switch that controlled the indoor (and outdoor) speakers.

I had a 2023 Greyhawk 31F. Each TV had a remote. I never used anything but the remote. My TV's were not connected to the "house" speakers.

My 31F had a Sony head unit mounted on the dash. There was a remote for that, but I found it quicker just to hit the on/off button on the corner. I could control volume either by the +/- buttons on the head unit or remote, but the remote button were small for my fat fingers.

At the entrance of my 31F was a switch that send the music to the inside or outside speakers. I believe the speakers in the dash were always on, regardless of switch position.

One time when driving my RV back from storage, I had the outside speakers playing, and didn't know it. I got a lot of strange looks when I drove through my neighborhood while jamming out to whatever was on the radio.

And don't feel bad about missing most of the spiel, we did too on our first RV. I read here about a suggestion that one person takes on the listening while the other just videos the ordeal.

Another suggestion - go around and write down the make and model of very appliance and electric thing in the RV. TV, microwave, generator, furnace - everything. Then go to the manufacturer's website and download their manuals for each item.

The Jayco manual will be scarce on details.

The remotes should turn the TVs on. The TV audio typically only comes through the TV speakers unless you also turn on your dashboard radio and set it to Aux. On my 2020 (Soundstream radio) there's a remote for the radio also that lets you set it to aux and adjust the volume. As others have said, you also need to make sure the switch is set to inside speakers.

My 2017 Greyhawk will play the TV through the ceiling speakers by selecting one of the "AUX" inputs for the radio that came with the rig. In any event, I would cycle through the various radio inputs while the TV is on and see if it suddenly comes out.
