Help! Air in water lines

Just dewinterized my Jayco 29 ME and I’m having water pressure issues. The pump runs but the water is coming out with a tremendous amount of air and lots of spurting. My fresh tanks are full. Toilet flush appears to be at a better pressure. Is there air stuck in the lines? How do I resolve? Thanks in advance.

After filling your fresh water tank, try keeping hose connected and set to "city water". Then turn the faucet on and let that water push the air out of the lines. Worth a try? If you're de-winterizing, that means good times are coming shortly. Good luck, and Happy Trails!

Make sure you purge the air from everything. Sinks, water heater, toilet, inside and outside showers, ice maker, low point drains, etc.

I had that problem last year, trying to figure out what I was doing wrong as I had “dewinterized” the year before with no issues. Turns out I didn’t have the water heater plug tightened all the way, so the pressure never built up as it should have. Tightened her up and we were good to go.

My guess would be the water heater is in the process of filling and the lines wont bleed out till it is full

When dewinterizing, I drain all the old drains first close them and then put city pressure on the rig. Systematically open each lp drain until all pink is out. Then open each water supply, hot and cold until water is clear and no bubbles. Then put some water in the fresh tank, switch to “normal” which is on the pump. Turn the pump on and run each faucet until all flow is bubble free.
Then drain the leftover in the fresh and refill to the fill needed. I only keep 1/3 or a little over for road use.

I usually leave the wh bypassed until the lines are flushed.

I agree on air in the hot water heater, I open the pressure relief valve to let the air out, then use the outside show to bleed most of the air out of the lines. Then I open the bath shower valve since it’s the highest faucet in the rig.

I just had this issue a few hours ago. Opening low-point drains, with the pump on for a minute, cured it for me.

One other thing to check that got me this year. Check that the fresh water drain valve is fully closed. The water pump suction line on mine is the same tank port as the fresh water drain. I actually turned the valve too far and it was slightly open, allowing the pump to suck in air. It was difficult to find because though it allowed air in, the water wasn't dripping out.

Tried many of your suggestions but no success. Had a mobile RV service tech come out and it was a bad pump. Replaced and working great. Thanks to all.
