Help - Starting Problem

I have a 2008 Jayco Melbourne 29D. Drove 1400kms over 2 days. Got to my destination and as I was waiting for my buddy to move his truck my motor home stopped running and now it won't crank. I turn the ignition key and I get a click sound from the battery isolator. Jumped the starter by running a wire from battery to starter and it cranks but won't the engine won't fire. There's lots of battery power.
I'm wondering if there is something in the ignition that could have stopped working causing the engine to stop and not allow the engine to start.
Does anyone have any input?
