High temp limit switch

We have had our 2016 Seneca for about 30 days now. We had the rig plugged in to get the frig cooled down and went out tonight and heard a beeping. The frig was blinking the Ll oP code. Looking the code up, it states the high temperature limit switch is open and it's not owner serviceable. Has anyone else had this problem?

This happened to us when we picked up our Seneca at the dealer on day 1. The service techs had to place a magnet somewhere behind the service cover to get it to "reset". It wasn't very difficult and it didn't take them long to fix it. Are there any service procedure for the Norcold on the internet? I will look in my manuals.

We had the same issue in our Seneca. Turned out that our fridge was part of the Norcold recall and needed to have the limit switch replaced. We were on a trip when it happened (of course) and I was able to by-pass the problem by jumping the two 12v leads (red / blue) going into the switch. Keep in mind that doing so removes the over-temp protection.

The site below explains the system and also tells you how to reset it using a magnet.

I didn't know there was a recall. I will have to check that out to see if mine needs replacing. I haven't had an issue since the initial start up.

Our repair guy checked with Norcold and our frig is not part of the recall. Norcold told him unit manufactured after 2011 are not affected by the recall. The wife used the magnitic trick and frig is working but not getting real cold though.

I have a 2016 Sencea 36 FK and had the same problem. You will need to put a strong magnet on the black box with the Red led light on. Hold the magnet on the right side until you hear a click noise, the red light will shut off when the black box is successfully reset.

You will need a strong magnet.

I put a 12v fan to help with the heat.
