Holding tanks

Does anyone know if the tank sensors on our Seneca are on the inside or outside of the tank?

Most tank sensors we have seen are installed on the outside especially for the fresh water tank.

They are probes that insert into the tank at the various levels to give you the E, 1/3, 2/3, F, readings. They work on the conductivity of the tank contents. Very prone to getting contaminated and giving false readings.

I switched my Seneca over to the SeeLevel system made by Garnet which uses sensors on the outside of the tanks. It is a big job requiring significant dissasembly of the coach to place the new sensor strips. Not a job for the faint of heart! But I can report that they work great and give you a percentage full reading from 0 to 100%. And they are immune to the effects of TP, soap scum, or waste contaminating the probes because there aren't any.
