Hot floor

Just came back from the maiden voyage weekend in my new 2011 Jayco 31FK. I noticed in the cab area that the floor between the driver/passenger seats get rather hot. Is this normal.

Have the same issue in our Melbourne. Have heard of people putting an extra layer of insulation under the carpets.

This is true of my 31DS as well. I assume it is engine heat since it is right there.

Go to a performance automotive shop (speed shop) and ask for Lizard skin or similar product... this will reflect the heat out of the passenger compartment.

Thanks for replies. MH is back at dealer for minor some warranty work on a few issues we came across (refrig is only powering if shore connected, one outside compartment door does not lock) and has agreed to add a layer of the reflective insulation under the carpet.
