Hot water heater backpressure causing leaks at hose clamps?

2019 Greyhawk. Hooked up to the campground water supply at noon today with the pressure regulator in iine. Bled air out of water lines, both hot and cold, at all faucets, shower and at toilet. Then with only water in the lines, turned on the electric hot water heater. Everything running OK, left campground for groceries for under an hour. Came back to a minor leak from the toilet's fresh water supply, at the elbow joint with blue hose and hose clamp fittings (blurry cell phone photo below). Opened a couple of faucets for a bit to relieve pressure, and have been monitoring for an hour or so, leak is gone.

Any ideas? My guess is the hot water tank heating up caused backpressure in the cold side of the fresh water supply, and the closest pressure relief point was the hose clamps for the toilet's fresh water supply.

8th or 9th camping trip in this rig, and haven't had this issue before. But also can't recall leaving the hot water heater run unattended. Had this at a home once, backpressure from the hot water heater would open the kitchen faucet causing it to leak at night when nobody was running water. Diagnosed with a "hold peak indicator" pressure gauge on an exterior garden hose fitting. Fix was to install a rubber bladder air tank on the cold supply to the home's hot water heater.

Just curious if anyone has seen backpressure from the hot water heater cause cold water hose clamp fitting leaks in their Class C.

Probably had a air bubble in the HWH or in one of the lines. Burp the HWH with the pressure relief valve, or your pressure relief valve is defective/stuck?

I leave the HWH on electric all the time and no leaks in my TT.

Same fittings as in all the campers, no matter what style. They are a cheap hose clamp, just like what is used in irrigation piping, not residential fittings. Best thing to do is buy the tool,at your favorite DYI store, it's about 7 bucks. You can give it a quick squeeze to tighten it up.

Dealer took a look at the fitting, couldn't duplicate the leak. Said it might have been excess pressure in the campground water supply. Pressure regulator was in-line at the time of the leak, and should have prevented overpressure on the cold water input line. So who knows.
