Hot water on the Cold Kitchen Faucet.

We have a 2016 26xd and from new when turning on the cold water at the kitchen sink, the first 20 seconds is hot water. After a little investigation the hot and cold lines run side by side from the hot water heater. Solved the problem covering the hot water line with foam copper pipe insulation and separating the two lines at three points.

Nice resolution.
We have insulated the hot water pipe anywhere we can access them. Basically it was to maintain hot water temperature as much as possible.

We were camped yesterday in a overnight site and the cold water coming out of the ground was hot. I figured the water lines were close to the surface.

Ugg!

Here in Florida, our cold water comes from the fridge...
On the other hand, having the pipes buried in hot ground gives us a free boost of solar energy. i imagine we use a lot less energy in running the water heater, than folks in colder climes.
