Hot water switch

Hello. I have 2 questions that I would appreciate knowledge on. This is for a 2013 jayco Melbourne 28f. I have a back up hot water switch in the bathroom that is not working. The light comes on but does not heat the bathroom water. The water will only get hot in bathroom when I turn on the main hot water switch which is on the outside of the rv. Also when I have the main hot water switch on and I use the water, the hot water system runs for about 2 minutes when I turn the water off. It is a loud annoying sound. Thank you for any advice on these issues.

In a 2016 Melbourne the switch in the bathroom is for a tank heater and not the water heater. Yours may be different because my water heater switch is on the inside.

In my unit the switch in the bathroom is for the tank heaters. The switch which enables the demand hwh is outside under the hwh cover. This is really unhandy and IMO they are Backwards.
Yes, the demand hwh makes a lot of noise and it runs for a while after the demand stops.

Our unit was similar. We had an additional Water Pump switch in the bathroom as well as the switch for the holding tank heaters. The Hot Water heater had 2 switches in the command center by the door, one for Electric and one for LP. Ours was not an On-Demand unit.
