House Batteries Not Charging

I know this has come up before and I've read the threads but have not found a solution.

We have a 2022 Seneca Prestige 37M.

Several weeks ago our house batteries stopped charging when on shore power or generator. They charge fine off the solar and off the engine alternator.

The inverter seems to be working fine.

I've checked all the breakers I can find including the ones behind the panel in the front - driver side - storage bay.

Any suggestions for what I should be checking next would be most appreciated.

What is the voltage at the fuses in your panel? If 13.3 volts, converter is working. Dumb question, is the battery disconnect turned on or off?
Did you happen to leave it for a while and the battery was totally dead?
Do your lights work inside with Shore power, generator, solar, driving?

Kevin thanks.

1. Which fuse/s should I be checking for the 13.3 volts?
2. Disconnect is not on.
3. We drained the batteries quite heavily before figuring out they were not charging. However, they have successfully recharged on both solar and the alternator.
4. Yes the interior lights and all other low voltage stuff works fine on shore power and genset.

Check the 110 120 vac breaker for the converter and make sure you have 115 vac to the converter to work. Also check the output of the converter. You should have 13.6 volts dc coming from it to the batteries. Then start at the batteries and work your way backwards towards the panel with a meter checking for a drop in voltage across any fuses or inline breakers.

The solar complicates testing a little. With no shore power or gen. Remove the panel cover, and measure DC volts at the fusible panel where the larger wires connect to the board. Then get shore power plugged in and measure voltage again. There should be a change in voltage. If no change at all, then the converter is not working. Then check the pair of fuses next to each other to make sure not blown.
I had a battery go completely dead and started the engine to charge the house batteries. With two batteries, the alternator was putting out over 50 amps to the dead batteries. That was on a Thor. They have a box under the hood that controls the direction of charging. There is a 50a circuit breaker that is resettable inside the box. It was 1” square 1/4 thick and had a very tiny reset button. On an Alante, the breakers are near the chassis battery on a black plastic base. There may be a 50 amp breaker there that is needing reset. They can have two screws sticking out with wires connected to them. See if there is a reset button on them. Very small.
Check the solenoid that disconnects the batteries from the coach. Near the batteries, have someone turn the battery disconnect off and on until you find it. If you do not hear a click, the solenoid is likely not changing. Check the inline fuses in red plastic square with a cap. Fuse inside.
Best wishes.

Thanks Mike.

Apologies for the noob question but where is the converter located on the Seneca?

Thanks,

Jonathan
