How do I get Jayco to respond?

I had a motor vehicle accident with my 2016 Greyhawk about 2 weeks ago. The person who hit me has admitted fault. I am trying to get the repairs done. I have called Jayco three times (left 3 messages) , emailed Jayco twice and wrote a letter to Customer Relations. I have received NO responses back. I need to get an estimate for the insurance company and want to drive to Indiana to get it fixed. I am frustrated with Jayco because they haven't answered any communication I have tried with them. Any suggestions? I have also called the service department of the dealer where I bought it (260 miles away) and didn't get a response either.

Does the factory do accident repairs ? I would speak with a dealer and find out what the factory will and won't do. I would check with a dealer that does accident repairs, many may not do repairs on the vehicle itself.

Good Luck.

You are going to have to get an estimate done by an insurance adjuster. Talk to a Jayco dealer. I'm fairly certain that Jayco is not set up to do collision damage.

I agree with this statement. I'm sure this isn't the first time they have had this question.

I have got immediate responses from JAYCO when doing mods on certain things.

Just send them a request along with my VIN number for build-out drawings etc an they will send back PDF formatted drawings via emails the very next day. Have been telling everyone about how good JAYCO is at doing this...

No complaints on this end with JAYCO for this type of service... Don't know anything about the collision type requests.

Our first trailer was damaged when stored on our dealer's lot when some unknown twit backed into a corner of the front cap. The dealer did an estimate of damage for us and worked with the insurance company.

I have the best results calling the customer service line. Have your VIN ready when you call. Also include it in any correspondence.

I have done this and got absolutely nothing in response. Probably over a month ago now. I sent my vin and asked for some drawings as I want to add another roof vent.

Can you share what email address you used?

Ela1948, I have seen an insurance adjuster from my company and have spoken to the other person's insurance company. Both have told me to get an estimate from wherever I could. They are not set up to give estimates on RV's. My insurance adjuster who sympathized with me, took photos but told me he couldn't give me an estimate. At the very least, Jayco could give me some help with advice. I have heard of people getting repairs at Jayco before.

I appreciate all the responses! I called the customer service number and have left two messages with "Scotty". Believe me I have been very polite and am just asking for help in getting an estimate.

Guess I don't understand your hesitation of taking it to a dealer to get thinks looked at and fixed??

What is the damage? Obviously drivable if you think you need to go to Indiana for repairs caused in an accident by another vehicle.

Good luck though....

Jayco has Responded!

I just spoke to Scotty at Jayco. He went thru the photos I had sent him and he asked me many questions. He apologized for the delay in speaking to me. Based on the damage, they will replace the entire passenger-side wall of the motorhome. The entry door and all the cargo doors were damaged by the collision. I am bringing it to Indiana so this brand-new coach will be fixed correctly and will look like new when I bring it home. He will send me an estimate soon. He thinks it might take as long as 3 weeks to fix if painting is involved.
I will use it for one more camping weekend in October. I can get it fixed sometime in January.

It does take a while to get into the Factory Service Center, but you will be very pleased with the work when it's finished.

Glad to hear they responded. Ouch on the damage.

I too have had really good response, I think the longest I have had to wait for a response was about 24 hours.

Something like your damage may take a bit more effort to coordinate though their system.

Three weeks to get repaired sounds really good.

Heck my dealer just took over a month for some rather minor issues.... So a side wall replacement in three weeks sounds super fast IMHO. :-)

I just had a accident 3 weeks ago,we got hit by driver under the influence of something.I had to get a adjuster to look at it first then take it to dealer for estimate. He was basically a waste of my time since he cant estimate the repair costs and all he did was take pictures and tell me I need to give him copy of estimate so he can give to my insurance.I could have saved them the costs and faxed it to them myself, but whatever it's their money

Have you tried WES in Wading River or White Horse RV in New Jersey?
