How (or where) to Fix My Slide Topper Awning?

Hi!

The fabric of my slide awning (topper) is ripped.

a) Is it something I can buy online and easily replaced or do I have to take it somewhere.

b) If I could replace it, where can I buy it?

c) If I should take it somewhere, where should I go? (I'm in Oregon/NorCal) area)

Thank you!

Ben.

This company makes slide topper replacements, as well as awning fabrics. They do good work.

I recently replaced my Seneca's two slide topper awnings, it really wasn't that bad of a job provided you have access to proper ladders. A competent helper is also very handy!

Tough Top Awnings supplied my replacement toppers, their replacements were double stitched and twice as thick as the originals and will hopefully last much longer. Their website has videos showing how you measure for the replacements and how to actually swap them out. I didn't have to call them, but I have heard from others they are very happy to answer questions if you run into any issues.

Attached are "before" and "after" pictures of one of mine.

Getting this done next week. Looking on line you can find a roll of topper material that comes 50 feet long. The 190 inches needed for my big slide was $63.00. The same dealer I bought this at will install it. I won't have to hear we have to order parts. I did the bedroom topper myself but you need help with the big one. I'm replacing my toppers because of hail. The bedroom topper was tight and the hail went through it. Living room topper had slack and the hail bounced off but made week spots I can now see through. That is the only damage we had.

Robbyr. Did your Seneca have covers over your toppers? My 2017 does and this is binding and keeping the topper from rolling all the way up. I'm thinking of leaving the cover off.

Thank you, Rob.

Since I'm around Portland, I hope they can make one in time so I can pick it up there.

Congratulations for your skills on fixing it. I hope my wife and I can manager it.

Thanks!

Thank you, Whporwil.

Can you send me the vendor contact or name?

Sorry for not getting back to you. I Googled slide out toppers to find it. On another note I did the replacement myself.

I second tough top awnings. Replaced mine a few months back and they are awesome in quality and great service. I worked with the owner and he was great. Has videos on website for measuring etc. I had my RV tech install as I didn’t have access to proper tools and time.
