How to drain fresh water tank

I’ve located the fresh water drain on my redhawk 26XD and turned the spigot , i only get a dribble coming out. Am i suppose to do something else?

If you have any moderate to substantial degree of water still in the tank, it sounds like you might have a vacuum. Perhaps you need to open up the gravity fill to allow air in (although, mine does not require that). I am personally not familiar with your model but it sounds like a physics problem waiting to be solved (maybe a plugged drain from debris in the tank).

Nothing else needs to be done. It is a rather slow flow and takes a while for a full tank to drain.

Open the fresh water drain, set you valves in the command center to 'normal', and turn on the water pump. Watch the water shoot out.

There should be steps in your Redhawk manual describing this procedure; I'm almost positive the command center valves are supposed to be on normal for this. However, this is also why I always brush up on this procedure in the manual.
