Humming noise from master slide-2015 Red Hawk 31XL

Hello,

We are new owners to a 2015 Red Hawk 31XL. We noticed on our first trip out a noise in the master bedroom coming from underneath the wardrobe. Sounds like a compressor or humming noise the goes for about 3-5 minutes and then turns off. Probably does this every 20 minutes or so. It actually got really annoying at night.

We just looked under the wardrobe and the only thing under there is the slide motor.

Anyone else encounter this issue?

We don't have a Redhawk but the only thing I can equate to a compressor sound might be a water pump. Are you hooked to city water or using your own tank? Is it possible that the noise is coming from elsewhere and transfering up through the wardrobe?
No help here, just some thoughts.

Could be the fan on the electrical converter.

I also think it sounds like a compressor. However, it runs even when we are in our driveway with an empty tank and hooked up to no water source.

It might be coming from the converter from under the bed. Going out for the weekend now. We will lift up the mattress and really try to pin point it this weekend.

It's so weird, really I think it only makes the noise when the slide is out.

Even though it is a 2015, it is a brand new unit purchased from a dealership. It was the last of the 2015's. If this does not sound normal, then we will bring it in.

But the pump switch SHOULD be off though!

We have a 2014 Redhawk 31XL, and have the same fan noise. It is a small fan behind the circuit panel under the bed. We where told by the dealer that there is a temp sensor on the circuit panel, and the fan kicks on to cool it. It is very annoying, and I wish I could find a quieter fan.

I have the same problem only it's under the bed on my Greyhawk. Digging around under the bed proved it to be the inverter believe or not. Not the converter like I thought, but the inverter. Even if it's off the fan comes on every 20 minutes or so. Don't know if your Redhawk has an inverter or not, but it's a thought.

It's the converter fan, and after awhile you don't notice it. The inverter fan only runs in ours when there is a load on it.

I added a couple of vents to the bed platform, to help with the cooling. While I had the bed taken apart, I noticed that I could light from the where the wires went down through the floor. A quick shot of expanding foam took care of that!

Just joined the forum and found your answer to the aggravating noise we experience, too. Any idea why Jayco put the break panel in such an odd spot? When we had an issue last year, we had to call the company to locate it (not in the manual), and the service person had to look it up.
