Ignition on to get dvd, tv sound?

We have a 2010 Greyhawk. the TV has very little sound when hooked up to cable or antenna.
Also, while at campgrd with no cable hook up, to watch/listen to Radio, DVD it seems we have to have the ignition on. Is that correct? Doesn't seem right, like the battery will run down.

This is not the case in our 2016 Greyhawk. But it sure is the case in most cars. If your 2010 was built around 2009/2010, perhaps that's the way they were doing it?

Hopefully someone with your make and model will chime in. But in ours we can listen to the radio and DVD with the ignition off.

As for low-volume, if it was *no* sound, then it could be a setting. Low volume is perplexing.
