In need of a House Battery

The Harris House Battery in my '16 Jayco Greyhawk 29MV died. I'm leaning seriously toward an AGM Deep Cycle battery.

In my research, I have read that some AGM Batteries require a special charging system. I pulled the info brochures about the coach and found that my coach has a Progressive Dynamics Power Control (PD4000) with the built-in Charging Wizard (an intell three-stage charging system).

It makes no reference to the difference in charging the various types of batteries. Nor does it mention adjusting battery settings for the various battery types.

I'm thinking that the AGM Deep Cycle battery falls victim to the old style RV battery chargers (But I'm not sure).

Can anyone here tell me if they are using AGM Deep Cycle Batteries without issue and no updated charging systems ...???

I've been using AGM's with the PD and C. wizard for 10 yrs. Great combo. A 3 stage charger as the PD has is what you need for AGM.

But what about the PD's "Equalization mode?" The charger goes to max charge voltage for 15 minutes every 21 hours to intentionally "boil" the battery to equalize the (or stir up) the liquid in the battery. I've heard that AGM's don't like to be overcharged - so won't this "equalization mode" overcharge the battery if it happens when the batteries are already at 100%?

My recommendation is also the PD9105 Charge Wizard (4 stage) also recommended for AGM. You have to have a Progressive Converter to plug it into. Use it now for a couple of years. My TT is always plugged in (year round), it saves the battery condition.
