When I was looking at these, I found the Go Power to have great ratings... pricey though.

Amazon.com: Go Power! GP-SW1500-12 1500-Watt Pure Sine Wave Inverter: Automotive

I have had good luck with this AIMS PSW 600WATT INVERTER PWRI60012S. This is my DUTY INVERTER that runs all of my home entertainment 120VAC items and other emegency items when we are camping off the batteries.

Amazon.com : AIMS Power (PWRI60012S) 600W Pure Sine Power Inverter with Cables : Power Converters : Electronics

I also have one of these AIMS 1500WATT PSW Inverter PWRI150012S but it draws to much battery for me so it is installed as a backup. I notice it isn't sold by AMAZON anymore now...

Magnum makes a good Inverter/Charger. I prefer them to Xantrex.

I purchased a Samlex 2000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter (PST-2000-12) for $626.22 and it had excellent reviews. The 1500W version sells for ~$480.

Before you purchase a 1500 watt inverter, do you have enough battery Ah to support it? Nothing worse than putting all that money into something that will run down your battery in an hour or two and you have to shut it down. Do you really need a 1500 watt inverter, when a 600 watt inverter may do the trick. If you are worried about the initial start up surge, most inverters have a buffer built in of 1.5 to 2 times their advertised wattage.

What are you planning on running off the inverter?

Just my thoughts,

Don
