inverter

I have 2015 31 fk with a xantrex pro inverter 1000.
It powers up and if the tv has power when it its on, but when i start the engine and put it in drive I lose power to the tv.
Is this normal?

I thought the purpose of an inverter was to have the tv on when traveling.

any help would be appreciated.

Jayco installs a relay to cutoff the front TV outlet when engine is running. Many have disabled it, a very simple fix done by cutting the 12-volt feed wire to the outlet's relay.

It's pictured in the posts that I linked, along with how to disable it. No to the back TV.

what Grumpy said - our back bedroom TV is not on the inverter. The only outlet in our 31FK on the inverter is behind the main TV.
