Inverter install into Redhawk 24B

Has anyone installed an inverter into a Redhawk 24B? If so where do you place the inverter and did you have to move the battery(ies) out of their stock stairwell location?

I've put 2 UT1300's in the stairwell location and am thinking of installing an inverter in the space behind the kitchen cabinet but am wondering if others have found a better location.

Thanks in advance,
-Brian

Thanks @Jayco 24B. Looks like you just had to drill a hole in the side of the storage compartment to run cables from the battery to inverter? Is the inverter connected up to any of the internal wiring or do you just use the outlets on the inverter?

Thanks,
-Brian

Yes, I drilled holes in the compartment and ran cables to the house battery. We only use the outlets on the invertor when needed.
So far it works well the way it is.

@Jayco 24B, what wire gauge did you use between the battery and the inventor? The place I'm looking to install the inverter will have a similar cable run.

One thing I wanted to share with you though in case you didn't know, those cables are "cca" which means copper clad aluminum (copper plated), which also means that the cable is almost 100% aluminum and aluminum doesn't carry as much current (amps) as the same size copper cable which is likely not an issue if you don't fully load down the inverter, but if you do and if you notice the inverter tripping, overheating, smoking , or unable to put out what it is rated for then I would consider going with copper cables, maybe even larger than 2awg, depending on the distance. ~CA

I had an inverter on my camp trailer, was fine, ran my batteries dead too many times

On my 25r MH I use two Portable power stations. They work great and never reduce the RV batteries

Charge em with solar or if I run my gennies.

Will run a 50" tv and Directv RX for 4 hrs on one Power Station

I also carry a Honda 2000 fenny. Runs 5-8 hrs on a gallon of gas vs the Gal/2hr on big fenny

I boondock a lot, so live alternative power options
