Iota Transfer Switch

If you have a Iota transfer switch better check if your unit is recalled, my 2009 Greyhawk the previous owner ignored recall I guess, looks like it goes back to 2012 when recall started. So it looks like if my fridge will not set it on fire my burning bed might. I contacted Jayco and my unit was in the recall

My IOTA transfer switch burned or started burning anyway after a little over a year of full time use. I was watching TV when I smelled wiring burning so I'm glad I was "home". Get that sucker out of there "NOW" is my recommendation. Been there, Done that, Have the shirt!

Here is a picture of the inside of the burned IOTA.

And it was an IOTA issue not JAYCO. IOTA stopped making transfer switches about the same time.

Not everyone visit forums looking for tips, tricks, and recalls.
Sometimes recall notices are mailed to registered owners, found in forums, using web searches, and by random word of mouth.
There are national databases for vehicles such as https://vinrcl.safercar.gov/vin/,
and smaller databases only published by the manufacturer's available at their website.

You are correct, IOTA exited this business.
