Yeah, because a range of 124 miles just isn't going to cut it. The absolute closest place I camp on the regular is much further than that.
I like it as a concept though, and I'm sure ranges will increase. Coming up with a way to charge the batteries constantly (like covering the entire roof with solar panels) should help as well...
I have a client who is a solar enthusiast, a diesel mechanic and runs a trucking company. The technology for electric long-haul trucks is coming along according to him. Perhaps some of that tech could or will be adapted to the "civilian" market...
