Is this about average?

This was my first trip onto a cat scale with the 2015 37 rb. Now I know I added some weight with the additional 50 gallon water tank, rear bumper, 100lb propane tank, reinforcing my water tank floor with tubing underneath and mdf and plywood on the inside. I filled every tank, fuel and both water tanks and loaded it up food, clothes and every thing for three weeks of boon docking (including extra fuel to top up tanks for running the generator) the reading came out at 8760 lbs on the front axle and 16340 on the rear axle with me and the wife in. By my calculation the max my trailer can be is only 7900 lbs to keep me legal? Does this sound about right?

I agree with your math. The 10,000 lb. "tow rating" is predicated on the actual difference between your measured coach weight and the GCWR. That will allow you to tow most any toad out there.

And you still have considerable cargo capacity left in the coach, but adding more to the coach would reduce the towing capacity accordingly.

Only 7900 lbs? What are you planning on towing? My full size SUV is well under that at 5400lbs loaded!

Would like to build an enclosed trailer to haul our atv's in when we go out to the mountains or maybe a small car when we snowbird south

Sounds about right... With us fully loaded and at the max GCVW... our trailer weighs at 7,500 lbs.

Consider your extra water tank is taking some of your towing capacity...
