Is U dinette as comfortable as regular dinette?

We had a U dinette in our old camper (Forest River). The face to face seats always made us feel like we were falling off the edge and were rather narrow even though we are smaller people. Can't imagine if you were plus size.
The cushions were like rocks. Wondering how the U dinette compares in the Greyhawk with the regular dinette.

If the 'U' has a straight back like the regular, I don't think it'll matter much. I have the regular and the sitting position isn't the best. HOWEVER - it can be drastically improved easily and cheaply. Cut a pool noodle to length and put it between the back cushion (on the bottom) and the dinette wood. It will create enough angle to make it infinitely more comfortable then stock.

I found the regular dinette on our Precept was fine. Easy on the butt so that I could sit there for an hour and work on my laptop. I work on the road so if we lose the swivel seats from the class A by going to a C it will important to have a comfortable place to sit without fanny fatigue

I think they are equally uncomfortable. We have the U dinette and if you study the construction it's basically a standard dinette with section added on the wall end.

Ours has fairly soft foam in the cushions which is great unless you sink through it.

I'll probably change out the foam in ours to something a bit more supportive at some point.
