I’ve got a 2019 Entegra 29V. Jacks don’t work. I had a control panel replaced and Camping World thought that fixed it. It didn’t. When trying to put jacks down the monitor says to apply parking brake. It is applied. CW techs think the monitor isn’t receiving some signal that the parking brake is in fact applied.
They said it’s a chassis problem and they don’t do that work.
So any ideas on how to trouble shoot this problem would be appreciated.
Couple of thoughts - others have said that it's very common for wires to get pinched under the dash. If the parking break switch is mechanical and tied to the brake itself, maybe?
My jack problems went away when I got under the coach, removed, cleaned and replaced the frame ground.
I looked at the parking brake switch, about 20 dollars has what lookes like a two wires. I would use a meter and see if the switch when moved in and out changes the voltage one way zero the other way power. Or with everything off continuity one way and open the other
Like previously mentioned, the signal comes from the parking brake switch (unless they added an additional switch) and routes to the control panel. I would look at the dash and see if the "brake" light comes on when you push the parking brake down (assuming your rig has this light). If it lights that verifies the switch works. If it doesn't, the switch may need adjustment or is bad. EASILY tested with a multimeter.
Look at the pedal to see if there is an additional switch installed solely for the jack signal. If you see more than 1 switch there, check the operation of that additional switch.
If the signal is good at the parking brake, you probably have an open wire in the run to the panel since you had the control panel replaced.
