It sounds and feels solid, consistent and true when in motion. Now, We only deploy the slide when our levelers are down and the rig is plugged into 110v service.
My hunch is deploying the slide while the weight on the suspension in some way might have caused some of my troubles.
Have you seen Schwintek Slide Owners Maunal instructs re-sync be done with slide extended?
Beware, All the you tube videos show "Experts" re-syncing with unit retracted.
A healthy battery is very important too.
Hello, thank you far all the information. Sounds like you had a few issues yourself. Everything for the slide mechanism has been replaced, took six months. It seems to be working good. I use leveling blocks when I go out but unfortunately I do not have a power supply at my property. Your levelers, are they for the chassis of the RV or do they go under the slide when it’s deployed?
Good suggestion, I will look at the operating manual for the slide.
Thank you again for your time!

Our Big Foot levelers are on the chassis. One more thing to check, make sure the top of the auxiliary battery is clean (the battery under the steps) and the cells are full. If the battery is dirty and low on water, it will be undercharged.
Maybe start the generator while deploying the slide.
Keep the extend/retract switch pressed until both motors stop. Never stop halfway.
We've got 20 set ups under our belt so far and our slide is running fine.
We have installed 10 pound drawer catches on those rear drawers.
Be sure the driver's seat back is forward.

Thank you again. All helpful tips. I’ve never heard of drawer catches before. Are they magnetic? Do you have a brand name?
I’m also going to look into the levelers you’ve installed. Sure would make things easier.
Take care

the drawers catches 10 lb pulls and 2 for 6.99 on Amazon. 2 Pack OWACH Grabber Catch 10lbs RV Drawer Latch (CL-308) for RV Motorhome Trailer Camper Marine Boat Cabinet Door Replace C3-810 (10 Lbs, Black)
We installed on all 4 drawers in the back and the 2 on the slide. Makes such a HUGE difference! would be a great thing if they just came that way, but we've added a lot of things like that as we go. the Big Foot Levelers are pricey but in our opinion well worth it.

Thank you for your time.
We recently purchased a like-new 2021 Jayco 24B and already have a Schwintek Slide rebuild kit on order after 2 months of use. Not built well. Yes, add us to your list! Our authorized dealer is quoting 12 hours labor for the repair of his unit not to include motors even.

Since you've replaced your slide components already - did you do it yourself? Pay a service center? Looking to find out reasonable labor hours to complete replacement of everything, excluding the motors as I believe ours are still fine. Any examples would be helpful though. Camping World Reno has quoted 12 hours labor.

I had it done in San Diego by RV specialists. They put in the Vroom system and that set me back about $4,000. To this day, I have not heard back from my dealer who told me they were going to order the parts in March. I'm pretty sure they never even tried. I wanted to be able to use my new RV, so I went elsewhere for satisfaction. Their warranty isn't worth beans. I don't have the time or energy to fight to get the things they promise. Happy with my choices though, and that's all I care about.

Can you tell us how well the vroom is functioning and holding up? I am sure that this repair will be in my future. Mine has been fixed, but I know (like everyone else) it wont last.

The new system has been great. Haven't had any issues with it at all. I've only had it since March.

Thank you N Nevada. I’m sorry you are having issues. Not what we expect when we buy a brand new RV,! Mine was finally fixed (the 2nd time). Seems to work ok but I don’t feel completely comfortable using the slide. Again, not what anyone should have to deal with. Still angry with Jayco and would not recommend them. Best of luck to you.

I already had a service appointment at the dealership for March 15 because I discovered the power converter never worked, and then the water pump failed. I was hoping they would take care of the screeching awning too, but they did not want to look at it. After waiting for three months for the appointment, they said the new parts will be ordered and that it will take two months for them to come in. It is unclear if I will have to wait another three months to get a service appointment to have that repaired.

I rent my rig out when I'm not using it, and this issue caused me to cancel one renter so far. I decided not to wait for Jayco and the dealership to do the right thing. The research I've seen shows that the Schwintek system, which isn't bad, just isn't reliable for full wall slides like the 24B has, and Jayco should know better by now.

I have opted to have the Vroom slide system installed, and in fact that is happening as I type this. Yes, it' $4500, but I would lose that and more in rental income before Jayco would replace the system with the same ill-chosen Schwintek. No system is perfect, and no unit is perfect. I knew going in what the industry was like, and what condition new units have been arriving in. I crossed my fingers and bought this rig anyway. I did not expect my dealership to be so useless and apathetic, however. I reached out to Jayco only to find the same from them.
Look at the inboard Rollers under the dinette. Are they installed but not adjusted (1/2" from making contact). If so, loosen the pivot bolt and crank up using adjuster bolt. Then you niid to make sure top and bottom racks are aligned.

Hello, last May traveling to Florida, slide locked up. Made an appointment with lippert for a repair. Stayed in the Fair grounds about 15 min from them. Nice, efficient people. $$$$.00, and one day we were on our way, out of warranty,2021 Redehawk.
