Jayco 31SS Chassis Adjustments

I installed the Hellwig sway bar front and rear, adjusted the hellwig overload springs, pulled them down from 5 in to 3 in.Took for a test drive passing 18 wheelers and other large trucks no more tail wagging and took almost all the rocking feeling out of steering much improvement.

I have a 2008 31SS and just checked mine and not one U bolt is adjusted the same I cant believe I been driving it for 8 years like this

That's pretty awful actually. If they are out of adjustment they should at least all be the same !!!

Mine was bottoming out on dips and speed bumps. I am third owner. I drove from Fl to home 1k and I said something is going to change.Much better but will keep working on it

FWIW Hellwig seems to be telling folks to adjust them down to 2". Not sure if its different on your 2009. I know the Ford chassis had a change that allowed for an additional 500 pounds on the front axle; yours may not have that modification given its age.

I do not know the tech at Hellwig said I could go down to 2" max so I chose to split the difference went to 3" made a huge improvement
