Jayco factory service was outstanding

Jayco picked up my Seneca from my home in mid-February and I got it returned to me yesterday. They did an outstanding job on all the repairs. Here is a list of the repairs that were done.

Replaced the flooring throughout the coach and it is beautiful.
Told me that it was not trimmed out inside so they did that.
Replaced the tankless with a 10-gallon water heater.
Replaced the bathroom vents with remote controlled operation in both baths. (Now my wife can open the vents.)
New in-dash stereo system.
New entry door (now the locks work as they are supposed to.)
Repaired some paint issues (I did not know I had) and repaired a large scratch that that was caused by me.
Replaced a recliner that would not recline.

They even took the time to keep me updated weekly during the repairs.
I feel like I have a new Seneca.

Your experience is what I would call typical. We had our 08 SENECA there for some upgrades( that we paid for) and our 15 PINNACLE for warranty and upgrades and that is how it was for us. Excellent!

Factory service

Rick
Were these warranty issues? Why did you need a New floor ( we got 8 tiles replaced because they were scratched by the slide and it is very obvious which ones ) in dash radio? with the same model? They say that mine can’t be replaced with a different one even tho they can’t get the Jensen JRV215n anymore so we are going to have more debate on this - vent fans with remote WOW -
We are at the Factory service center now and after seeing Robbie’s fresh water tank support and they put 2 - 2 X 4s as support for mine I’m very disappointed in this repair
Some things they do are great but some are not - what can you do?
Les

Les, yes they were warranty issues. The floor had to be replaced because the sub-floor screws where backing up that caused bulges in the flooring.
They replaced by radio with a Jensen 9000.
Jayco also did some other things that I did not have on my repair list.
It was a great experience.

You indicated that Jayco picked up your Seneca from your home (in Texas?). Did they move your RV to their Indiana factory for the work or are you meaning it was repaired at a dealer repair shop near your home?

Could not be happier!

Thanks for your report. We have a warranty issue with our back slide. Our appointment is May 1st. We're confident they'll do a great job with repairs, which are pretty minor but need to be done right! When you're driving 1,350 miles, it's good to hear such positive feedback.

Koko, good luck. I had an issue with the main slide making a horrific noise when opening and closing. They repaired it and now its quite as a mouse.
Who are you corresponding with at Jayco.

We have confirmed three times with Mark, because we had heard that some people on this forum got there and were not on the books for their repair. We have written confirmation. Jayco, so far, has been awesome, and we have every confidence that all will go well.

Our slide works perfectly. What happened is that when they built our RV, they didn't put the sweep all the way across the bottom back bedroom slide. There's only about a six-inch gap; but when we drive it down the road in the rain, water splashes up from the road and from our Jeep, goes under the slide and seeps in where the gap is. Our dealer gave us weather stripping - they really didn't even look to see what the problem was (we're not happy with them). We saw the gap, shined a light through it and took a picture for Jayco. They immediately knew the problem and will be fixing it for us. Last time, it even started to soak our mattress. As you know, water damage can be the WORST, so we're really anxious to get this fixed. Thank goodness we live in a dry climate, but we traveled twice last year to both the east and west coast with torrential rains. Our warranty runs out on May 18th, but it's on the books now. Other than this very fixable problem, we've loved our RV.

Rick - I have a 2018 Jayco Seneca HJ and on the first day we noticed a screw that was sticking up and left an imprint in the flooring. Took it back to the dealer for some other minor repairs and showed them the floor. When the tech got down on the floor, he noticed about 8 or so more places, just not as noticeable. Also I had questions about the paint job, seems everytime I wash it, I notice a chip here and a chip there. And they are not where you would expect from rocks coming up from the road. Just curious how Jayco got involved with your issues. Thanks for any help.[]U][/U
