We also have an on demand hot water system. After much experimenting, what works for us is; I use only the hot water tap. Turn the tap on full and adjust the temp with the unit controller only. Don't use the cold water for temp control. If the water is too cold, turn the hot water tap down just a touch. This allows the incoming water to move slower over the heating element. This is just the opposite of what you'd think. If it's too hot, adjust the unit controller, again just a touch. If you have an adjustable pressure regulator, keep the incoming pressure the same every time you hookup. Once you've got everything where you want it, you should have success.

We are hoping to purchase a Greyhawk 29 or 30 tomorrow. May we ask why you feel your 30X was a mistake? Thanks for any info you can share.

Actually we love the rv and it's layout, just first time motor home owner and feeling overwhelmed with the learning curve. I'm sure we will love it in long run.

So glad you like it. Can imagine it's going to be a steep learning curve for us, too. Wishing you safe travels!

2018 Greyhawk 30X
Hello, my husband and I purchased a 2018 Greyhawk 30x in August and took delivery after a punchlist of items needed to be fixed just last month. I am really frustrated because first one of the hydraulic jacks leaked and now the slide will not extend. Have any of you experienced this type of thing with a brand new coach? We have another trip planned in December and the Jayco service center is telling us they can't look at it until January.
Signed Frustrated and afraid we got a lemon.

We bought a 2017 30x and also had issue with auto levelers. Turned out to be loose fitting on one of the hoses. Once that was fixed, no more issues with that. Other smaller issues were fixed quickly & have enjoyed the unit.

Hi Mcadeb- I just picked up a 30x. What small problems have you experienced? I’m having a few too. What do you do for an outside TV?

The dealership looked at the non working slide this morning and found a broken wire and two blown fuses on the slide motor. Fixed the problem, and my husband is on his way home with the Greyhawk 30x.

BoBo, other issues: tankless hot water tank wasn't providing hot water, guess we weren't allowing it to cycle correctly; blind at the dinette wouldn't stay down, Jayco approved replacement; awning light wasn't coming on, we weren't sliding awning out far enough; speaker cover not flush, fixed. So, mostly it was us learning a new model.
As for outside tv, we haven't missed that since we didn't have one outside in the 5th wheel, not an issue.
Hope you enjoy yours.
