Jayco Odyssey Entegra 26m wall finish

Checked the RV today and another issue to work thru.

My wife installed a velcro attached untensil rack on the wall panel right of the stove.

It fell down and took some of the wall finish with it. The great looking wall finish it turns out is paper thin like wall paper.

Anyone had to replace a section of the wall finish and how did you approach it.

Obviously this is not a warranty issue.

How big of an area? Your dealer may have or be able to get the seam tape that matches, but it is only 3/4" wide. The interior is just like wall paneling used at home and is vinyl coated paper bonded to luan. If you attach anything that has weight you need to use short screws.

It is about the size of a 18 inch ruler that is horizontal if you can imagine it. About 1 inch high..18 inches long.

consider putting what she placed there using screws instead of any kind of sticky backed method and cover the spot that way. She gets what she wants and you don't see the boo boo.

X-2 especially since the seam tape would have the grain going the wrong direction.

That may be the approach to screw the rack back on. No way I can remove that velcro as it will do more damage taking the wallpaper with it.

Or maybe a nice Jayco Entegra sticker..not really.

I had a similar issue on the wall next to the door. I covered up the bad spot with a cork board. Now we post notes on it, and you would never know it hasn't always been there.

Thanks for the corkboard idea. The utensil plan hangar was a cute idea but just another thing to rattle around.

And unless you put plexi-glass or something behind it they also scratch the wall as they swing.

Wall repair..somewhat.

Took advice and took the velcro off (never using velcro again on RV wall)...it left a peeled off area of the wall finish...then screwed thex rack back on....peeled area all covered now.
