Jayco Redhawk 22J

Finally, after 6 years of camping with a small but comfy Travel Trailer (154BH), upgraded to a Motorhome.

Took delivery of the 2018 Redhawk 22J earlier this week. Liked the floor plan which is perfect for 2 of us, but would have liked to have more storage.

Had it winterized by the dealer and is now sitting in storage. Cant wait for warm weather next year so that I can take it out.

did you get a spare tire and rim?? we are considering just a spare tire(30 inches diameter) under the bed storage. thinking of adding a carrier tray using the hitch receiver for extra storage containers. Home Depot has a 500 lb capacity storage tray for $199

I was and am concerned for travelling without a spare tire. My 154BH had a spare and I was thankful to have it as we had tires blown out twice while travelling on the highway. I am going to look into options for mounting a spare and will post if I find anything usefu.

We are going to use road side assist. Not planning to do my own tire change in event of a flat, so that is reason we are only carrying a tire not a rim. Tire i think will fit under bed storage area.. BTTW WE HAVE NEVER HAD A TIRE ISSUE ON OUR VEHICLES OR TRAVEL TRAILER. SO WE WILL GET A HANKOOK LT225/75R16 FROM WALMART AS A SPARE...LOOKING FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU..WHAT STATE ARE YOU IN? WE ARE IN NY. AND ORDERED OURS FROM ALBANY RV.

I am in Toronto, Canada. I do have CAA roadside membership and haf used them both the times to change tires on the TT. For sure I will not change tires on my own but having a spare available was such a peace of mind.

As soon as CAA replaced the blown tire with the spare, I right away got another spare mounted on the rim.
